5:51 pm - Relocating and shit...
|
Well, here's an update from my last entry. The truck's still MIA, though now there seems to be a possibility that the dude that sold it to me originally still had a lean against it from the bank of like $300 and he told them where they could pick it up. If that turns out to be accurate you can bet your ass I'm taking the kid to court, but either way for the immediate future I'm still fucked on it. The Sidekick is pretty much a loss since there's no way to get it fixed or replaced... I just need to buy another one but once again I've got more important things to worry about than that. I'll just grab a cheesy phone for the time being and use that until I have some scratch to spare.
I've made the decision to actually move back to Jersey and even though I still don't know how I'm coming up with all the funds I need by the first I'm determined to find a goddamn way. Word to the wise, never, ever, EVER move to Rhode Island. It will kill you. So, the way it looks now is that I'll be staying at my mom's house for a week or two as soon as I find a way down there until I come up with some way to get the money I need to live on. I'm attempting to sell this computer I just got a few months ago, but I still haven't found a buyer yet. If anyone knows someone with some money to burn, someone that needs a computer, etc. please let me know or let them know, whatever. I need to figure something out toot sweet.

-----------------
Well, so far the new year has been nothing special. Work is going just about the same as it was and even though I've made my way up into management I'm looking for alternative employment. This whole being a corporate whore thing just isn't kosher. Hopefully I'll be able to get in at a mill up here since the payrates are insane for simply running a machine for a few hours.
Still living in a motel at the moment, though there's a few people that have mentioned they might want to get a place as roommates. I know at least 2 of them are reliable, so perhaps that'll work out to my favor. I've got people I know keeping an eye out for any places that look promising and allow pets... though not many places up here do for some reason. I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on it, but it's hard when you're stuck in a situation like this.
My new truck still isn't on the road. There's some problem with the starter where it won't turn over in the cold which is really swell considering it's winter in fucking New England. Yeah. I'm probably just going to get it changed out altogether and hope for the best. The rest of the truck is in great condition, it's just the damn getting it started that seems to be a problem. Also, if anyone is inclined to call me anytime soon I've switched cellphones. I was having some issues with Nextel so I've gone back to T-Mobile. Luckily, one of my friends had just decided to get a new phone so he gave me his Sidekick II. Yeah, I'm one of those people now, but hey, it means I'll be able to do shit online without worrying about it now.
Anyway, thanks to the new phone I'll be posting more often. Try to catch me on AIM if you need the new #.

11:19 am - From the bowels of hell...
|
Well, I finally managed to figure out how I could get on the internet from my temporary residence. I'm staying in a weekly motel room while I get everything straightened out and while it's by far not the nicest place in the world it does in a pinch. I really had no choice in which motel I went to (though there are far better and cheaper ones around here) since it's the only one that would allow me to keep Trouble (my kitty) with me in the room. I had some prospective babysitters for her, however they all fell through and I'll be damned if I have to give up another of my pets. I've done that too many fucking times over the years and I'm not doing it again. Sometimes she's the only friend I have up here.
If I manage to find a babysitter for her in the next few days I'll be moving to a motel with high speed access.... for the time being I'm using dialup and it costs me 56 cents every time I dial out... luckily there's no cpm. Anyway, send me love, send me hate, send me something. lol. Tis a icky situation but I'll pull through it never ya'll worry. ;)

3:17 pm - Well, there it goes...
|
Alright, so I went and did something that might have been stupid today. About an hour ago I just decided to pop into a salon near my house and had most of my hair chopped off. Yeah, that's right, I've got shortish hair again now. I dunno, I just felt it was time for a change and I did donate it... so at least it will go to better use than me sticking it in a ponytail everyday. It got old after a while.
*shrugs*
Some may scold me, some may commend me... either way I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Stromkern - Night Riders ------------------------------------------------
(CHORUS 1) Well I dreamed this night a thousand times But I never knew that I'd be burning inside In the moment when we decide If the innocent live and the guilty die Unforgiven, unrestrained And we're burning on down like an acid rain Raise the darkness and expose their lies Night riders in the western skies (/CHORUS 1)
(CHORUS 2) I can't believe it's true but Devotion's on the rise and they're looking for you Burning bright like a thousand suns and We'll never stop until we're sure we've won And there's revolution in the air tonight And I don't need nothing 'cuz I know that I'm right Raise the darkness and expose their lies Night riders in the western skies (/CHORUS 2)
This scenario In the wreck of souls, well so who have you told Call it chance or call it fate Just remember that it's never too late
Restrict somatic delusion Destroy prosodic illusion Uphold evoke and desire Absorb the voice of the fire
Can't hope to combat the motion Can't stop the feedback devotion Can't stop it, tried but it continues Transcend it or be consumed
And in the wreck of failed diplomacy Challenge order well I'll follow your lead Just a few more steps and then you're free But you'll never know 'cuz they don't want you to see
On target and we're flying blind And I'm scared to look because I know what I'll find Never knew that it would end this way Watching paradise go down in flames but I won't give up, I won't give way In the moment of truth I won't surrender my name No more limits and no more fear Because I know that the end is near
>(CHORUS 1) x1
(CHORUS 3) Locked on target and we're flying blind And I'm scared to look because I know what I'll find Never knew that it would end this way Watching paradise go down in flames but I won't give up, no I won't give way In the moment of truth I won't surrender my name Because there's no more limits and no more fear Because I know that the end is near (/CHORUS 3)

Oh, if anyone has any pictures of me in digital format (i.e. digital cam, scanned, etc.) please send them to thecoat@gmail.com as I can't seem to find any of mine on my old comp. Can't remember if I deleted them. Thanks. ^_^

Alright people, call me a dork if you want to but I figured I should take it upon myself to let you all know Blizzard is offering a 10-14 day FREE World of Warcraft trial. Yeah, pretty badass. Anyway, go to Fileplanet.com to download the full client and sign up for an account.
When you do all that and are ready to make a character, make sure you do it on the Bloodhoof realm/server. All of my characters are there as well as my guild and I'll be able to hook you up with some cash, gear, etc. Just let me know what your character name is and bear in mind that I play on the Alliance side... I'll be unable to do anything for you if you choose to play Horde.

(reposted from the AREN and ACLU mailing lists)
Eager for a public success, the Bush Administration has strong-armed lawmakers into re-drafting a final Patriot Act bill that actually makes the original law even worse. The new proposals reverse months of bipartisan negotiations and ignore the growing calls for reform from across the political spectrum.
A final vote is expected in the House and Senate THIS WEEK, so we need you to call your Members of Congress as soon as you can. Take action now and and tell them to vote NO on the Patriot Act reauthorization bill.
Your call to Congress is urgently needed. Americans of every political stripe want Patriot Act reform and we need to let Congress know that people across the country are watching this vote.
All that is standing between a terrible Patriot Act bill and its imminent passage are the demands of ordinary freedom-loving Americans.
Whether or not you normally get involved in politics by writing and calling your elected officials, now is the time to get involved and to ask your friends to call as well.
We will need a record number of calls from across the country to turn the tide, and we are counting not only on you, but on your family, co-workers and friends to keep Congress' phone lines ringing nonstop for the rest of the week.
To get others involved, point them to:

One thing that remains constant is that life just keep rushing by. Since I've gotten my promotion I've been pulling near 12-15 hour days on top of getting ready to move over to the new apartment. I'm glad about the new place though since it's cheaper, nicer, and I get a little suite to myself technically. I'll have 2 adjecent rooms with the bathroom right outside, both a decent size though. I've still yet to decide if I'm going to make the second one a computer room/office or a temple. I'm running out of time though so I'll have to figure that out soon.
Anyway, to those of you who haven't heard from me and give a crap, sorry. As I just said, it's been a very hectic time. I'll be around mroe once things settle down.

Well, finally got some recognition at work. The chick they hired for whatever reason months back as an Assistant Manager just quit before she had to deal with a bunch of shit for screwing an employee. heh. Considering I highly disliked this girl to begin with makes this great enough as it is but I've also been offered the position.
So yeah my keyring doubled in size, I'll be making a bit more money, and I'll have to worry about the store a bit more... but I'll also get off of nights every now and again while having the authority to keep people doing shit instead of standing around with their thumbs up their asses.
And I just found out that the courses I want to take are completely covered by the company's 100% tuition reibmursement. So whatever financial aid doesn't cover, they will. It's an alright day so far. ^_^

Just to clarify for Reeka and anyone else who had trouble believing Anne Rice has 'found God' I submit these quotes from an article with her:
- "In two weeks, Anne Rice, the chronicler of vampires, witches and—under the pseudonym A. N. Roquelaure—of soft-core S&M encounters, will publish "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt," a novel about the 7-year-old Jesus, narrated by Christ himself. "I promised," she says, "that from now on I would write only for the Lord." "
- "I mean, I was in despair." In that afterword she calls Christ "the ultimate supernatural hero ... the ultimate immortal of them all."
Find the whole article here.
Tis a sad day.

Your type is the most likely to appreciate a good insult and/or broken bone and/or very very fat person dancing.
